I think that's a bit unfair. It seems to me that Keegan was a better player, mainly because of his athleticism, while O'Neill is a far better manager.Originally posted by red g View Post

Apparently Villa are 1 point better off this year than they were with O'Leary last time round.
Maybe when O'Neill gets to sign a couple more (ex-Celtic players probably) things will pick up again. I'm wondering if his time-out from football hasn't affected him adversely, even though it was just a short leave of absence.

I think they just have too few experienced defenders. They have actually mostly been playing pretty well. Them getting Sorensen fit will be a boost aswell.
He is a good manager, but I think the Villa squad lacks the type of players he needs to play his prefered game.
