    And Stallone's not much better.

    forgot the wooden acting

Personally i like the bloke, doesn't take himself seriously.

Could of gone the London route but didn't.

Has to be the funnist thing in football since Delia Smith's half time rant.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

BBC Five Live has had to issue an apology to Everton Football Club and the people of Merseyside following widespread condemnation of comments made by Alan Green during his commentary of Sunday's Premiership clash with Reading.

Green referred to Sylvester Stallone’s appearance at Goodison Park as a “pathetic stunt by a B-list celebrity” and made comments as the actor left the ground before the end of the game about him “going to see whether his Limousine was on bricks”.

A Five Live spokesman said: “Alan’s comments were off the cuff and meant to be humorous but they were not and we are very sorry if they caused offence.”

The apology follows a series of complaints to Everton and Five Live from Evertonians and Liverpudlians regarding the comments.

The Club was poised to take the matter further but, following the apology, have opted to draw a line under the incident.

A club spokesman said: “Whilst we acknowledge that Alan Green is one of radio journalism's more self opinionated figures, we do feel that his comments were hugely ill-advised and, quite clearly, offensive to many people.

“In the 24 hour period which followed our game against Reading, we received e-mails and phone calls from football supporters everywhere, who were appalled at his ludicrous statements.

“We accept the BBC’s apology in the spirit it was made and the matter is now closed.”

Oh Greeny, Greeny, Greeny, is there any grounds left where:

              a. You are welcome

              and

              b. The manager still talks to the BBC despite what you have spouted about them?

Can we soon add Everton to Bolton & Scummers list of no interviews for the BBC due to Greeny being "self-opinionated"?

Welcome to Anfield Greeny, you'll always be welcome!

It's not very funny really. If anyone else said something about the wheels of his limousine being nicked would you find it funny or a tired, unfair, old cliché?

Alan Green may be a Liverpool fan but I don't think that gives him carte blanche to talk like a prat.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                        I love Stallone.

Feel sorry for him as the poor guy probably knows nothing about Football and was dragged along to watch those losers.
