THe money West Ham are splashing around at the moment smacks of desparation. They're offering 60k to Neill (he's not good enough for us anyway). Just bought Callum Davenport, offered £9m+ for Ashley Young, tabled a £4m bid for Upson which Birmangham rejected, and are reportedly after SWP for £10m, and then there's a supposed interest in Darren Bent....Not to mention the pay off to Pardew and his staff.
It appears to me that they're putting all of their eggs in the one basket - but if this doesn't pay off then they're fecked. I quite like West Ham but the way they're going it looks like they'll be the first club who have had major investment and been relegated.
