Feyenoord thrown out of Uefa Cup

    Taken from the BBC Website:

Dutch club Feyenoord have been thrown out of the Uefa Cup.

Uefa has taken the decision to banish the club from this season's competition after the crowd trouble at Nancy on 30 November.

Didn't Spurs draw them in the next round? Does this mean they get a bye or does the team eliminated by Feyenoord get a reprieve?

According to reports this means that Spurs will probably get a bye into the next round.

Not arguing with the punishment, but Inter got a small fine and some games behind closed doors and what they (or their fans) did was FAR worse.

        UEFA in corrupt shocker!

Stupid decision, yet again by football big-wigs...

Let Wiraki... whatever that polish team is, that finished forth, play spurs.

This decision deprives Spurs of a European game as well... ah phuck it. What do i care.

                  ****in joke!

Would they have gone so far, had it been Chelsea or Scum??!!

                  Ridiculous

A couple of games behind closed doors would have sorted this!

I actually think the punishment is pretty sensible but as has been pointed out if you are going to do it to one team, you have to do it for all.

Along with that you probably have to extend the hard punishments to international level and stop taking the piss with minute fines for racism and other offences.

It is the inconsistency that gets me.

                      That's my whole point mate.

They wouldn't do it to one of the so called "Bigger Clubs", and we all know this - hence the reasoning behind my thoughts on this particular puishment.
