It's amazing how much money they value him. One year ago, he wouldn't have been quoted half of that, much closer to 6 / 7 million pounds.
What a difference a good world cup does. Anyway, he's not worth that amount of money, so manure can have him.

But as Polo said, he's been bought to provide another cog in a well oiled machine. On the whole, if it wins them the premiership, it will be money well spent.Originally posted by andyinswinton View Post£20 million!
That price is so inflated its untrue!
Munich must be killing themselves laughing.

A sudden spate of problems in the midfield area mean that Hargreaves is needed until at least the summer as Bayern chase glory in both domestic football and the Champions League.
Sebastian Deisler made a shock decision to retire this week, Julio dos Santos is injured and Ali Karimi may leave before the closure of the transfer window.Go **** yourself

You really think OH will make the difference?Originally posted by fredo View PostBut as Polo said, he's been bought to provide another cog in a well oiled machine. On the whole, if it wins them the premiership, it will be money well spent.
If they win the league, it wont be BECAUSE of signing him.

No of course not. I don't think that's the point really. If you look at the players Man Utd have, you've got to agree that paying over the odds for players is fine so long as the players are good for the team. Rooney, Ferdinand, and Carrick are 3 players who are worth nowhere near the amount payed for them, but Man Utd are still glad to have them. Hargreaves will fit into that category too. It's this kind of policy and spending power rather than this specific signing that can win teams league titles.Originally posted by DJS View PostYou really think OH will make the difference?

I agree. Man Utd have clearly changed their policy of two or three years ago when they were buying a load of crap squad players. At that point the boozer was rebuilding and he had to get hold of a lot of players. For the last season or two he's been more particular, paying large amounts of money for the players he wants. Plenty of people are calling for Rafa to do the same so why we should all turn and criticise Man U for the very same thing we'd like to see verges on hypocrisy.Originally posted by Red_Polo View PostNo of course not. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
