Mido spotted in Liverpool City Centre?

No mate, really, don't be afraid of posting, it was just unfortunate timing that another issue spilt into this thread, and the which forum thingy, well, its a bit touch and go but I reckon its probably better put in this one

only 2 possible explanations i can envisage:

replacement for outbound james beattie or wind-up

Houllier wanted to sign Mido for us before he went to Roma. At the time Mido was playing for Marseille in the strong French league and had scored a whopping 7 goals in 24 games. Amazing strike rate for a striker in the French league. Judging by Houlliers track record in signing players from the French league, looks like we missed out on a quality player. Mido being seen in Liverpool gives me hope...
