Remember all we have to do is finish third and you will never post here again.
That's why I'm Laughing
He's making a valid point - is it that great that all our top-four rivals have extra games to play when the reason they have extra games to play is because they all have more chance of getting trophies out of this season than we do? I was chuffed myself with the Arse-Bolton result, but it's a very sad consolation really. Considering that we'd have to win every single one of our remaining league games and the scum lose at least three and draw two more then our chance of winning the league is slim to say the least (I'd love to be proved wrong) and finishing anything but first is hardly glorious.

It has to be said, anfieldanfield has a point. I would much rather be in 4th, 1 point worse off and still in 2 cup competitions. It's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.

First of All - I dont think that the League/Carling Cup is worth the Effort. So Yes, the fact that two of our main rivals are fighting over it, playing more games and increasing the risk of injuries and player fatigue, thrills me.
The FA Cup is a different matter. I rate it the number 3 Trophy to win and it constitutes a major achievement. It hurts to be knocked out so early, but as 2005 showed that the extra games off can make a Huge difference in the Bigger competitions. I'd hate one of the other Big 3 to win it, but in 2005 Arsenal won it and It didnt hurt after Istanbul
I've been preaching on here that we will win the League or get very Close, since August. Even when we were 18+ pts behind. I still believe that, So any Rival that takes a harder route than us due to extra games and resulting Injuries and player Fatigue makes me more confident. Arsenal and Manure have threadbare squads and it wont take much to expose their lack of depth.
The only Club in England capable of challenging in all competitions is Chelsea and their Season is being Ruined by the inevitable rebellion of mercenaries and funnily enough their lack of depth is being highlighted.
So just Believe and it will happen

But Arsenal use their second string for the Carling cup and have done all season so hardly any of the first teamers are at risk of injuries or fatigue. If anything the match practice that their kids are getting helps them push closer to getting in the first team squad so in that respect Arsenal are at an advantage imo.
As for 'believing and it will happen', I wish it was that easy but that's pure fantasy and nothing more.
It's great being positive but that will only get you so far if at the end of the day the quality of the team is lagging behind others above us.

Didnt Van Persie (Man Utd) and Hleb get injured against Spurs, Ruling them out for both CL games. Hardly their Kids
