Surprising that seeing as how the service to him was absolutely perfect and he was getting every decision too.

John Motson mentioned in his commentary - 'another long ball aimed at Crouch' - 'aimed at' being the operative words, England's football was one dimensional. Carrick blooped the same pass high into the spanish penalty area all night, eveybody else followed suit, it was absolutely dire. Spain only played for about 5 minutes and that was enough. I must admit as a huge fan of seeing England getting beat (especially in friendlies) - I was loving it.

I struggle to believe that crouch will be first choice striker in two years.

At times he looks dreadful... borderline embarrassing.

He also seems to subconsciously effect the team's playing style, i noted this in the game last night. Long balls
