This is expected with England nowadays. It's easy to boo England.

Well……on the flipside, those fans who were stupid enough to pay to attend that game last night were ENTITLED to boo, if you ask me. It’s nothing but constant dross, and Micah Richards came on and showed them all up by demonstrating how far a little enthusiasm and effort would get you.

Every time they play the National Anthem the camera pans along the line, revealing an embarrassed collection of self-conscious dolts, nervously mouthing the first two lines (which is generally as much as they can remember).

If Man United played as poorly as England have in the last three games then all those not eating prawn sandwiches would be booing.

I don't agree that footballers don't care about England/International football. I'm sure there are some that don't but I get the impression that most of them are really proud of it. However they seem to feel that being in the squad means that they are automatically good enough to be international footballers. If they went into a club side with the attitude that they had nothing to prove the fans would be on their back just the same. I think the problem is that a lot of them believe the hype about the England squad and the **** Sky witters on about the PL being the best league in the world and simply think that they have a god given right to win.

That and Steve McLaren has been a terrible manager. Seeming to bend to player/media pressure. Terry Venable has done himself no favours either, I suspect the game has moved on since he was a great coach and now as was seen at Leeds and Middlesborough he is a middling coach. To be fair I thought McLaren would be a decent choice, more a Ranieri than a Mourinho but that he might expand the options and formations used by the team while keeping the solidity of Svens teams. Sadly I was wrong and it turned out he was a spineless, only averagely talented waste of space.
