    Mirror apologise to Sheva.

    ANDRIY SHEVCHENKO APOLOGY
    09/02/2007

ON January 16 we published an article entitled "Shev's a 'Snitch' " that said Andriy Shevchenko's team-mates regarded him as a snitch who was passing details of his dealings with Jose Mourinho back to Roman Abramovich (an allegation we repeated on January 19).

We also reported that the players blamed Shevchenko for the row between Abramovich and Mourinho. As a consequence we said his team-mates could not trust him and this was affecting team morale.

We also claimed on January 17 that Shevchenko had exacerbated his rift with Mourinho by asking Abramovich to replace Mourinho with AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.

We now accept that these allegations are untrue and we apologise to Andriy Shevchenko for any distress caused by their publication.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
