oh and half the seats empty 5 mins before the break :whatever:
It's nothing new, Arsenal fans have always been ****s.

As for the empty seats, they don't fill that stadium and there about 3500 empty seats for every home match with the exception of 3 or 4 matches so that probably why there were empty seats.

I think it is lesson to us all, you can have the best stadium in the world but it is the fans that make the experience worth while. I respect the opinions of all of the Arsenal fans I know but collectively they seem to embarrass themselves every home game.

I thought the most funny thing was when they shouted same old cheating Wigan when Heskey went down in the box.

Arsenal is together with Chelsea the team that cheats most IMO.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Their new stadium has killed the soul of that football club, possibly beyond repair.

I've got loads of mates that are Arsenal fans, and they say ridiculous Emirates ticket prices, and a souless bowl of a stadium have squeezed the last remaining 'good old' North bank gooners out the club.

I hope to God the same doesn't happen with us.

Asked whether he thought Wigan could have had a penalty, Wenger told Sky Sports 1: "Maybe, yes. I didn't see it again. It was difficult to see.

                  Wenger is a 1st class **** ain't he.

"Thierry was upset - but what he did, for me, was right," said Wenger.

"People do not pay money to see people waste time - they come to see football.

Okay, he should not have done that - but it is not the biggest insult we have seen in football...

I do not know whether it was a penalty - in these situations you never know what will be decided...

Maybe the [equalising] goal was offside by a few inches, but we conceded a goal in the Champions League final like that and nobody complained."

                  Class act

Brilliant. Good to see he's gotten over it so well

He's the one sole thing that goes against liking arsenal for their great football. All that admiration is almost undone, just by listening to this pillock talk nonsense.

He's a hypocrite and his team are hypocrites. After what Henry did to Kirkland then Lehman wasted so much time. They dive, they cheat, they foul but Wenger never sees it.

They play great football but I find it hard to respect them.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

It's a worry, if we can keep prices similar we'll be ok though.

This was just an email that made me laugh after we lost 3-6. I was pissed off at that time and needed something to cheer me up.

                              Phil '****ing' Dowd ey...

                              i love Jewell

                              Jewell fumes at Dowd

Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell was left fuming with referee Phil Dowd and his assistants following Sunday's 2-1 defeat at Arsenal.

The Latics cruelly came away with nothing from their Super Sunday trip to Emirates Stadium, as a Fitz Hall own-goal and a headed strike by Tomas Rosicky cancelled out Denny Landzaat's fine first-half finish.

The former Bradford City and Sheffield Wednesday manager let his feelings known to Dowd at the final whistle, as he felt a number decisions went against Wigan in the late stages.

Jewell was left bemused as to why Emile Heskey was not rewarded a penalty late on in the game, and why Latics midfielder Josip Skoko was not allowed back on to the pitch after receiving treatment for an injury.

He was further angered when Mathieu Flamini looked to be offside in the build-up to Arsenal's equaliser.

"I thought we should have had a penalty that hopefully would have made it 2-0," a fuming Jewell told Sky Sports.

"One of our players gets a free-kick and treatment soon after that, and Dowd doesn't let him back on for whatever reason.

"Then it looks like it might be offside for the cross for the goal.

"I think I'm in trouble because I told him one or two things (after the game), but these (officials) make decisions like that and will have another game next week.

"I don't like blaming referees because they have difficult job - I understand that.

"But why is our player not allowed back on the pitch after he's received treatment? Even the fourth official doesn't understand why.

"If they don't understand each other, then we've got no chance."

Jewell was convinced Flamini had pulled Heskey back for a penalty before The Gunners turned the game around.

"It's a penalty, he's put his hand on his shoulder," insists Jewell. "Why would Emile want to go down when he's through on goal?

"The problem with some officials is that they don't understand the game, and maybe they don't know what a penalty is.

"Today, he's (Dowd) cost us the points I think."

Jewell later told the written press that he would report Dowd regarding the referee's conduct towards his players.

"I have only blamed referees three times this season, and he (Dowd) has been in charge every time," Jewell said.

"He is telling our players to F-off and stuff, which I do not mind because it is a man's game - but then he is telling me that I will be sent into the stands for having a go at him. It cannot all be one-way.

"If he wants to take my conduct to the authorities, then I will take his language to my players to the authorities as well.

"I am sure I will have to explain my comments to the Football Association - but if I do, I will just show them a video of the game.

"A leading Premiership manager told me that Dowd was the worst referee in the league - I am not saying that, but it was there for all to see today.

"He denied us a stone-wall penalty and did not give us two penalties at Arsenal last season, so there must be something in his Premier League contract about not giving us decisions against Arsenal.

"His only consistency is his inconsistency and I am gutted for the players.

"Referees just do not realise the significance of football matches.

"I think some of them consider it to be more of a hobby and they do not take it as seriously as we do as managers and players.

"I just do not understand where they are coming from."
"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

"You would've been happier if you'd chosen to join your mother in her world. " - Ogami Itto
