From the BBC re: Celtic v Milan
2112: Quite remarkable. You will never see a more blatant diive than that from Alberto Gilardino. Four steps after he evades a tackle in the box and the ball racing away ahead of him he lunges for the turf. Where are the prim and proper judges to mark that? Definitely a 6.0. And a yellow card. He gets the booking, but not the top marks.
Wonder how it ranks with Kromkamps against Pompey last season.
Or Henrys a couple of weeks ago.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
Have Lil' Lille showed enough to suggest they may score in 2nd leg?
aye theyve had a few chances and have had the better of play in the second half. but thats at home, i reckon the scum will destroy them in the 2nd leg. very unlucky to be down one nil
Manchester United fans were involved in a security scare during the Champions League tie against Lille amid scares they were being crushed in the stands.
A problem erupted 15 minutes into the match at the Stade Felix-Bollaert, with some supporters being pushed against the 10-foot-high metal security fences.
Fans reacted angrily, prompting riot police to fire tear gas into the stand.
However, after two fans, one an elderly woman, were lifted over the barriers to safety, the unrest was quelled.
Television reports suggested the gates at the back of the stand had been opened by police to allow Red Devils supporters with tickets for the home section of the stadium to sit with their own fans.
Manchester United secretary Ken Ramsden revealed the club would meet with Uefa and Football Association officials after the game to discuss the incident.
