I can see it happen. Inter will probably bid something like €100m for Messi in the summer.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Unless there are massive changes in player registration procedures (e.g. complete freedom of contract with a short notice period like pretty much any other job) then it's inevitable. When we sold Keegan for a British record of £500,000 it was hard to believe it would be broken..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Definitely. Around ten years ago, we were all amazed at the £5m for Chris Sutton to Blackburn or even the £7.5m for Andy Cole to the scum for players who were on top of their game.
These days, most players transfer value is the same as that of Cole & Sutton 10 years ago.

Its only a matter of time. More and mroe money will keep going into the game, especially with the english clubs. Mardid and Barca are always very popular too and willing to spend, especially Real. It could be 10 years away even, but it will happen.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Transfer fees will always rise so yes. If nothing else inflation will eventually take us there, but as competitions and TV deals become even more lucrative the incentive to splash out on a grander scale will surely follow.Originally posted by thesilverfoxlfc View PostCan we see a player moving for 100 million in this day and age?Forwards.......

Doubt if it will take anywhere near ten more years before that figure is paid for a player, after all didn't Zidane go for about €65 million in 2001?I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
