I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Pardew had a massive point to prove today and he's doing it in some style.

I wonder how the Eggman feels today.

Definitely and they’ve still got to play Chelsea, Arsenal & Man Utd before the end of the season.

jesus!! WH have imploded. What the hell is happening there?

I hope we go for Tevez in the summer. Imagine adding him to our lineup. He would be our Rooney

I wanted Charlton to win and Alan Pardew to get his revenge! I just can't stand that overrated fart in the shape of Alan Curbishley!

                            Curbishley job safe after defeat

This is hardly a surprise; they'd have difficulty persuading anybody to take this job on if they sacked Curbishley:

West Ham have stressed manager Alan Curbishley's job is not under threat following their 4-0 defeat to fellow relegation strugglers Charlton.

Reports suggested Curbishley had been given a deadline to turn round the fortunes of the side languishing second from bottom in the Premiership.

"Alan's future is not in doubt," said a club spokesman.

"Obviously everyone is disappointed with the result but the chairman remains fully committed to Alan."

West Ham have won only once in the Premiership since Curbishley took over from current Charlton boss Alan Pardew in December.

Their defeat at The Valley has left the east London side six points from safety.
