"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Thinks to oneself, Masher or Neill, Masher or Neill, hmmmmmmmmm, Masher or Neill, can't get over this feeling that maybe WHU got the better deal? Or is that the deal they deserved? I get the two confused in my old age.Originally posted by Redlife View PostWest Ham could have used a good holding midfielder today. If only they had one.

Didn't they both cost a reported £1.5M each, depending on source?
I can't stop laughing, sorry.

curbishley's smugness is slowly dissipating. he cant hide behind the fact that hes at a small club with no money to spend like he could at charlton.
truth is he's made some absolutely shocking buys, and some ridiculous tactical decisions. hes shown himself for the average manager he is, i think hes struggling to come to terms with it. he really did think he was worthy of the england job
jonathan spector at RB? davenport at CB? nigel quashie? persisting with harewood and carlton cole instead of playing tevez?
if i was a west ham fan i would be absolutely gutted by the mess thats been made out of a decent group of players

I still think Curbs is a good manager no matter what happened. Turned a small club in Charlton into a decent premier league club, Not many managers could do that.
It hasnt worked for him at West Ham for the simple reason that he slated all the players when he came in, saying they werent good enough for WHU, he has then brought in some quality players (Boa Morte, Upson, Neill, etc.) to replace them and stuck them straight in the team together.
Suprise, suprise they didnt gel straight away and to top it all off they all keep getting injured which means Curbs can never play a settled side. You need luck when your down at the bottom though and he hasnt had it.Forwards.......

if hes a good manager he wouldnt have ****ed that team up so royally. quality signings? hes brought in utter ****e at high prices and ripped that team apart. anyone with any experience in football would surely know that would be the result of his policiesOriginally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI still think Curbs is a good manager no matter what happened. You cant tell me that Boa Morte, Upson and Neill arent quality players! Of course he overpaid, clubs knew he had big bucks to spend and they took advantage of the situation, Curbs had no choice if he wanted them.Originally posted by Ron_Mexico View Postif hes a good manager he wouldnt have ****ed that team up so royally. quality signings? hes brought in utter ****e at high prices and ripped that team apart. anyone with any experience in football would surely know that would be the result of his policies
His mistake was getting of on the wrong foot with players he already had, but they did have their heads in the clouds as he rightly put it.Forwards.......

if thats true than he's incredibly naive for a top flight manager. upson, neill, and boa morte are average players, replacing average players. in doing that he completely destroyed any spirit the team had left. if he was a good manager he wouldnt have done it, that is my argumentOriginally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostYou cant tell me that Boa Morte, Upson and Neill arent quality players! fair enough mate, i was always impressed with him when he was at charlton if that means anything. since he left charlton he's made some smug comments and my respect for him dropped. it was always going to be a difficult task at west ham but he took a difficult situation and made it much worse
