Maybe on the pitch. Less so in Portugese hotel rooms

Did Wayne Bridge do a Baros today?

"Doesn't matter what happens on the pitch it's the winning & 3 points that count"

The PR training works well doesn't it? Drumming in or brainwashed?

OK, we all talk about JT and the incident at the end of the game... But what about Essiens challenge on Baptista?! That was fookin brutal and I would definitely send him off for that!

The brawl was the best part of the game.

At a time where football is so incredibly sanatised (sp?), I think the odd punch up now and again keeps everything fresh and raw.

Besides, it was great seeing a teenager, Fabregas, grab Lampard by the neck and make fat Frank look like a bit of a ****.
Yes the odd punch is really good for the kids to see. Sets a good standard. Football isn't about punching the opponent.

i know there's an element of theatre to ice hockey fights but if that **** took place in the middle east or asia or africa it'd be all over american news bulletins and not as a humour story and we'd be all tut tutting about how inherently uncivilized certain societies are and how they need saving from themselves by the civilized west.

anfieldanfield - you use the word sanitized. i take it that you yourself enjoy doling out beatings or get off on being on the receiving end on a regular basis. with all due respect - and assuming you're serious - that is seriously poorly thought out macho horse****.

oh ffs they see worse on television every day. perhaps it was a good lesson for kids to see- that after the game the players that were swinging at each other were shaking hands, everything was forgotten. kids will have enough people telling them what a disgrace it was to know it was wrong

Do they? Can't remember CITV and Childrens TV kicking off like that. It's not a good lesson for kids. That's a ridiculous statement. I speak as a parent of three.

I cunted up the Sky feed in the bar and prevented several dozen Arse and Chav fans from seeing the first half.

If it hadn't meant I'd cost us a few hundred in takings, I would have said that was a good day's work.

conflict is a part of life, showing that there are consequences (yellow, red cards) for taking violent action is a good lesson for kids imo. i worded my argument really poorly, it is not a good lesson for kids seeing professionals fight as kids emulate what they see. its always disapointing to see a football match reduced to fighting. but what im saying is that kids are exposed to alot more than handbags on a football pitch and i think youre over reacting

can beat the odd 20 man brawl and a pile of red cards
Especially when it hurts the teams around us.

Im actually happy Chelski won. Wenger treats the Carling Cup like a glorified training matches. If you get to a final you should play your top side no matter what. Its still a major final, the fans pay alot of money to see their side play and hopefully win.

Arsenal got what they deserved, fair enough the kids did well to get to the final but its a final you play your best side.
