When I saw the title of this thread 'The John Terry Incident' I thought he had done a poop in his pants or something.

Lets be honest, getting kicked in the head is an occupational risk for a footballer - not that i like to see it happen. It is no more likely to happen now than it was in the past. It is part and parcel of the game.

Also, you can't blame the fans for cheering when he hit the deck, all fans do that. As soon as it became clear that it was potentially serious i think everyone got behind him. There was a standing ovation when he left the pitch.

Marky there is always a risk when you play contact sports. Any team no matter how small that play competitively without someone with medical experience available are just looking for trouble - I look after a junior GAA team at home and we always have someone available.

It won't make a difference with him.

It might make a bit of difference if he has a subdural bleed. He can die and the mortality rate for that is high. It can take up to two weeks for it to show up.

Same goes for Peter Crouch. Surely he will have scans to be sure he is okay.

i'm sure he had a Scan done, but I agree he should've been observed for at least 24hrs. Quite often a scan quickly after an injury will show nothing , yet one 24 hrs later will reveal a problem.

I hope he's sensible about it though and rest for at least 2 weeks. But I dont think he will The Doctor treating should demand it anyway. Th FA has said that only if a Doctor agrees that he's allowed to play, can he play

i dont find it funny and i didnt laugh i was generally concerned at first. but when i hear that he's fine and he went out on the piss that same night i dont feel the need to be on here saying 'i wish he gets better soon' and all that bollocks.

I hope this happens to Christiano Ronaldo and Gary Neville on Saturday

No lasting damage, just get 'em off the pitch early in the game.

I agree, apart from the 'no lasting damage part', I'd like them both out for the rest of the season.

why do people say terry is racist? not that it makes a difference but i'm sure i saw pictures of him in a paper a few years back on a beach with emile heskey - steady jules - and in the related story it mentioned how him and heskey were big buddies who went on holidays along with their partners together. or was that a max clifford job after some racist incident...

for what it's worth i think he's one of the best if not the best centre half in the premiership.

I think he was alleged to have made racist comments to Ledley King or summat, although I'm not sure anything ever came of it.

Yes, although he coincedently had an injury for a couple of months
