Arsenal Football club is a blight on Britain.
They have just two UK players in their squad, limiting home grown talent the chance to achieve. Development of home grown talent could lead to a better World Cup performance than 2006.
Arsenal allegedly bribed their way into the top flight after the suspension in the league, due to the World War 1.
Arsenal had finished 5th but the club chairman is historically suspected of buying their promotion. The club abused the tragedy and disorder of the The Great War, which shows no respect for the sacrifice made by thousands.
During the construction of Highbury, a horse accidentally fell into an open pit, where the foundations were being laid. It was not rescued but buried under the North Bank Stand.
Arsenal is therefore associated with underhandedness, disrespect, retardation of British talent, bribery, unsporting behaviour and cruelty to animals. These things undermine our culture. We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Don't worry.Originally posted by PeachSalsa View PostI fail to see any humor in the horse being left to die that way.
"The horse under the North Bank
One of the most famous Highbury stories may have been a myth all along.
It had been thought that the North Bank had a horse buried underneath. The legend goes that when the stand was being constructed a coalman’s horse and cart ventured too close to the edge and toppled in.
The animal could not be saved and was destroyed. It was buried where it lay. However no animal bones were found when the site was redeveloped for the construction of the new North Bank in 1992."

But it was an accident.Originally posted by PeachSalsa View PostSorry. I don't know anything about Arsenal's history, whether it be true or myth. Even so, I never think animals dying in a violent manner, accidental or on purpose, funny.

But the Story about their dodgy promotion to Div 1 after WW1 is though ..... And they've never been relegated sinceOriginally posted by Mumsafan View PostIt's not true
About time I'd say. Only them have been longer than us in the Top Division.
