    Just read on The Liverpool Echo site that Everton are going to try and get into the Intertoto Cup

    I thought that competition was only for small clubs?

    Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

        They will probably win a couple a games, get knocked out by some Icelandic minnows and then release a DVD of Everton in Europe.

              Sorry!! Icelandic minnows was the first thing that jumped into my head! Anyway it wasn't a slight on your business community's ability to buy English football clubs, just that your domestic league football might contain some teams we would call "small". But then Everton are a small club themselves, the English minnows if you like!

                    They are 1 point off Reading in 7th Place. They should get 6th place and a UEFA Cup spot now that Chelski has won the Carling Cup. The way Bolton are dropping pts, their 6 point lead in 5th place is looking in danger too.
