    Barca! Barca! Barca!

Not long in from the match, and although I am as pleased as anyone that we're through (YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!) I just want to pay tribute to Barcelona.

I had a laugh with some of their fans in Liverpool city centre this afternoon, and they were in fine voice again tonight in the ground.

Great moment at full time when after we'd finished singing YNWA, their fans were chanting 'Barca! Barca! Barca!', so we all joined in and clapped them off.

Great team, great fans, superb club.

    BARCA! BARCA! BARCA!
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

Yes, I think Barca are the CLUB which is most like our own. Strange statement but I think Barca are obviously a great club, a proud club, have a great history and play the game like it should be played. Fiercely competitive but believe in fair play and respect their opponents.

Definately. I've always had a soft spot for them, I think it came from when I was a kid and I liked the look of their kit.

Fiercly proud Catalans who value their club a million times higher than their country. Sound familiar.

(P.S. Having expected to be wowed by Ronaldinho and Messi, guess who I was most impressed with? Puyol. What a ****ing player he is!)

Yeah fair play, few elderly barca fans were joining in the rendition of YNWA at full-time, taking the Anfield atmosphere in.
To be fair Deco and co took defeat gracefully, he stayed on to swap shirts with Gerrard i think.

Good club, always been my 2nd team after Liverpool.

Here's the prematch YNWA and you see Barca fans sing along with Liverpudlians.

Absolutely brilliant (specially the guy with "Antimadridista" scarf)!

They're shirt with the name Unicef bears testament to that.

Yeah I agree mate, seen that at the end, it was a nice touch
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                        Good post mate.
That Barca shout at the end was absolutely class! I met a good few of their fans and they were blown away by that and by the atmosphere in general.
What a brilliant night all round!
