I pretty much agree, and said the same after the thrilling Sevilla-Barca game.

But since then I've seen West Ham-Spurs and Chelsea-Spurs. Two incredible games.

Agreed, both were incredible, although I thought the quality of play was pretty poor in the former, and last night's match was superior in terms of quality to today's as well.

I read on here in the last few days people saying he's all hype and have never seen him play well.

Yeah the quality of attacking football is better in La Liga and it's much easier on the eye.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating though, and the Premiership looks to be of a higher overall standard if the CL quarter-final line up is anything to go by.

Funny though, but someone on this thread criticised the quality of defending in yesterday's match, yet compared to West Ham-Spurs and Chelsea-Spurs it was positively sublime. The quality of some of the goals last night was quite exquisite as well.

I love watching Messi. His dribbling ability is astounding. How many times does he see two or three players in front of him and just run straight through them? And it's refreshing to see a player like that riding tackles left and right and staying on his feet, instead of looking for a cheap free kick. Some of his teammates could learn a thing or two about this from him.

The thing with the CL is you need discipline, which the Spanish sides lack.

The exciting thing about La Liga is, as pretty much all the teams play free-flowing football, everyone os capable pf beating each other.

I also enjoy watching him ... now.
I did NOT enjoy watching him even touch the ball last week.
