    "Stand lads, stand!"

At least 10 people were stabbed as a running battle broke out after Chelsea and Tottenham's dramatic FA Cup clash on Sunday.

Hooligans wielding knives, wooden clubs embedded with nails, baseball bats and hockey sticks turned the well-heeled Parsons Green area of London into a battleground, leaving bystanders fleeing in terror.

Police believe that the fight – which began outside the White Horse pub, known locally as the 'Sloaney Pony', a traditional match-day drinking spot for Chelsea fans – was either a pre-arranged clash between rival gangs, or an 'ambush' by Spurs-following hooligans intended to catch Chelsea fans 'in their own backyard'.

Thirty-four men were arrested in the violence, which saw vans full of riot police and a police helicopter called in to combat the mayhem. Seven of them were taken to hospital with stab wounds and head injuries.

Three of the injured men were kept in hospital overnight, while the rest were treated and discharged back into custody.

The fight began just after 8pm, several hours after the match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

A police source said: 'Clearly there was a degree of organisation. These guys had not turned up with sticks and bats to play a game of hockey or baseball.'

One witness said: 'It was pandemonium, I've never seen scenes like it.

'I was in Parsons Green itself having a quiet drink with friends – nothing to do with football. Suddenly there was a lot of loud shouting and screaming and we saw a huge mob fighting outside the Sloaney Pony, smashing each other with baseball bats and anything they could get their hands on.

'People were fleeing in all directions, it was chaos.'

Didn't hear this mentioned on the news yesterday. Bit of a shocker.

Little rumbles like this get ignored, unless they are from more newsworthy clubs.

I'll never forget one toothless animal shouting that at me as I, er, retreated from some Forest fans years ago. I went to "have a look" and make a few hand gestures, and it kicked right off. They came steaming in and I thought "right, I think it's time to leave " and this bloke screamed "STAND, LADS, STAAAAAAAAAND!". I thought "nah", backed away pretty sharpish and then saw the "stand!" fella get engulfed in a hail of fists and boots. All that was lacking was the cloud of dust.

                      Chelsea v Spurs violence

Seven soccer fans were hospitalized and 34 arrested after a brawl between Chelsea and Tottenham supporters in west London.

The two London teams played to a 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, forcing a replay at White Hart Lane next Monday. After the game, rival fans met outside a local pub with knives, hockey sticks and wooden clubs embedded with nails.

One fan was still hospitalized Monday with stab wounds, but his condition was not life-threatening.

Police believe the fight was prearranged on the Internet or via mobile phones. Scotland Yard's Football Intelligence unit is investigating.

There is a better write-up in The Evening Standard. Chelsea fans were desparate to get Spurs in the League Cup and in the end it happened in the FA Cup. The replay will be interesting.

I refuse to watch it based on the diabolical trailers I saw.

'ID' wasn't bad though. Not great, but it wasn't bad.

If you take Danny Dyer with a huge pinch of salt, 'football factory' is worth a watch too.
