    Europe XI v Man U

Not on till tomorrow but thought i would start a thread today with abit of build up. Anyways its on the BBC tomorrow for those of you who want to watch it.

Just a few points to make:

Zidane rejected to play (shame because Materazzi is playing.)

    Ronaldinho has dropped out.

Larsson is on the european side.

Gerrard and Carra better not get injured

Here is the Europe XI squad:

Goalkeepers: Oliver Kahn, Grégory Coupet, Iker Casillas.

Defenders: Paolo Maldini, Jamie Carragher, Eric Abidal, Lilan Thuram, Carles Puyol, Marco Materazzi, Fabio Grosso.

Midfielders: Gianluca Zambrotta, Steven Gerrard, Juninho Pernambucano, Florent Malouda, Luis Miguel, Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo.

Strikers: Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Amantino Mancini, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrik Larsson.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

    Should be a good game

My prediction is Man U 2-10 Europe XI

These kind of games should be played at the end of the season anyway.

Its amazing that these games are scheduled mid-season.

And teams manage to bleat about too many games when these things are penciled in.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

No doubt Gattuso and Pirlo will be delighted to see Carra and Stevie G again...

LATE LIPPI CALL FOR FOWLER AND ZENDEN
                        Mark Platt 13 March 2007

Robbie Fowler and Bolo Zenden have received late call-ups to Marcello Lippi's European select squad for tonight's double celebration match at Old Trafford.
Fowler and Zenden will join Liverpool team-mates Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard in the star-studded side that takes on Manchester United.

Lippi has drawn on some of the top names from across the continent for a game that marks two jubilees – the 50th anniversary of the treaty of Rome and Manchester United's half-century of participation in European competition.

United director Bobby Charlton says: "I look forward to welcoming so many stars and friends to Old Trafford to celebrate these two significant anniversaries."

All proceeds from the night will go to charity.

Stevie, Carra, God and Bolo in the squad eh?

If they win can we count that as a Liverpool victory over Man U?

Bolo That´s a bit odd, does Lippi even know who he is?
