      According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        This is a shocking game
        I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

          how does mcclaren expect a good performance from such an unbalanced team?

          he's got so many players playing out of position it's madness

          and he's relying on some really poor players like neville, johnson, and lampard....

                  makes me laugh when he gets credit for "guiding a team to the uefa cup final." fact is boro should have lost twice, in large part due to his ridiculous tactics, and only made the final becuase the players wanted it so badly. mcclaren brought on a bunch of attacking players after going behind, what a genius
