It's about bloody time the little **** came in for a bit a criticism.
Way, way overdue imho.

They, and most English fans are so desperate for players to be world class - to the point where they'll distort fact to augment the pathetic, fatuous statement that the Premiership is "the best league in the world"
Normally I wouldn't disagree with you - I'm of the opinion La Liga is a superior league. Technically better, more exciting to watch.
But looking at this season's CL quarter-final line up, you'd have to say it looks, at this stage, as though the Premiership (or its upper echelons) is the "best".

I don't disagree on this point. Our top sides are just as good as Spain's or Italy's.
But when Sky - particularly Monkey boy and baldy who love to recite it chapter and verse like it's some sort of mantra - call it the best league in the world, they are talking about the whole division.
Outside of the top 4 it is utterly mediocre. I mean Bolton in 5th place? In Spain or Italy they'd get smashed.

He's just another example of the Sky/media hyperbole of English players.
They, and most English fans are so desperate for players to be world class - to the point where they'll distort fact to augment the pathetic, fatuous statement that the Premiership is "the best league in the world" - that as soon as promising youngster arrives on the scene he's given far too much underserved praise too soon.
The reality is that Rooney is a good player who on his day can be an excellent one, he just doesn't have as many excellent days as people would like to think.
I still wonder what he did at Everton to make Demento think he was worth £25m.
Not much at Everton, but he did play well at EURO 2004. We've done that too with Diao and Diouf playing well at the WC 2002. Paid less, but also got two ****e players...

How you can belittle David Healy's exploits in a Northern Ireland shirt beggars believe.
27 goals in 55 games at International Level is a staggering stat.
Two hat-tricks(one against Spain may i add) in the last two competitive games and the winner against England has quite simply got be admired.
You often talk about Crouch's stats for England(and rightly so), yet when us Norn Irish ppl discuss talk about King David's and what not...you don't seem capable of recognising and praising.
Contradictive? Just a bit.

Contradictive? No. Contradictory? Maybe.
Actually, I haven't at any point "belittled Healy's exploits in a Northern Ireland shirt". I just said he was **** - based on his inauspicious record at (lowly) club level.
As I said earlier, international football (IMO) isn't as high a standard as the so-called experts would have us believe so, while it's a very good record, I don't pay too much attention to very good international goalscoring stats.

How the **** are the Mancs top of the league? Ronaldo and Rooney their two best young players who have taken them to the top are two of the most overrated players in world football. Rooney has the 3rd most goals in the league this year and joint most assists and this in a bad year... "He isn't actually that good". Lampard has consistently scored goals in the last 3/4 seasons, but looks poor in an England side. But then who does play well in this England side? Only Crouch? I see
Laughable as it is there are bids of 4m mooted. But i reckon once they realise that its Leeds he'll get a 400k transfer.
I'll take your money and suggest at 4/1 that he'll end up at a bigger club than the aforementioned next season.
Not many bigger clubs than Leeds mate. They may be rubbish but are still a massive club.
Regarding Rooney, he is a fantastic player who just needs to be more concistant, I said the same of Ronaldo last year, who is now world class. Rooney is still very young and this is the reason people believe he will have a big future in the game.

I agree 100%. The Premier League cockscuking by our pundits and former players is annoying and pathetic.
Pundits like Chris Waddle who offer contructive criticism barely get the air time they deserve.

While I agree with the point about most of the league. I think that Spurs and Bolton are actually good sides and for different reasons would probably do about the same as they do here if transplanted to Italy or Spain.
