Anyone can score against anyone, but when you play for a country which holds the world record for not scoring and creates about 2 chances per game to score 1 goal every 2 games is a good record!! Of course being a "wee" country makes a difference - we don't even have a professional league and have hardly got loads of quality players to choose from. How can you say that for a player playing for NI to score against the likes of Spain etc isn't a good achievement? Look I'm not unrealistic, I certainly do not expect us to qualify but we have a chance and the results we've had have been fantastic.
Win, lose or draw we enjoy it and as long as the team puts in the effort its fun while it lasts so I'll just enjoy the ride.
