These Mancs are such a ****ing self-righteous bunch of ****s.

I'm near their ground again today and had to get my lunch from one of those foul "Red Devil" shops - next to Lou Macari's rancid chippy.

Anyway, a load of Manc neanderthals were in one of the shops talking about last night. They were talking as if, as I intimated earlier, the riot police just waded into a perfectly peaceful United end and started beating up the poor little lambs.

"We're so hard done by, every time we go away in Europe", said one of 'em....with a tattoo ON HIS FACE.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Are people (ShaggyAlonso, AFII (This guy is an incredible specimen)) seriously saying that United fans started it? They were provoked big time and some of their fans reacted (they shouldnt have) back. Then the nazi-styled police wade in and start handing beatings out left, right and centre, incluing disabled fans being pushed out of wheelchairs. In Lille (Which ShaggyA) is referring back to, United fans were squashed into an area designed to house half the number of fans and United fans seemed to climb over the fence to escape.

Some sense is being spoken (Red Polo, fredo), but is this site really representitive of how blinkered LFC fans are, it's like none of the people off here have ever been to a European away game.

I seem to remember LFC fans charging a supposed solid wall once upon a time!

We also have a huge Scum element - I've been to places and seen it - and I mean recently!

Some of our fans were throwing seats at OT last year so can everyone please stop going on as if all our fans are angels!
Do people just ignore the sensible and correct posts on here?

                  Spot on.

Saying "they were provoked" is NOT an excuse. We were provoked in 2001 and 2002. Did you see the same shameful scenes? Did you ****.

And what the **** would you know about whether or not anyone on here has been to European aways? Plenty have, me included. Get your facts right lad.

As for "United fans were squashed into an area designed to house half the numbers....". Hillsborough ring any bells, you blinkered Manc ****?

Oh and it was in Lens, not Lille.

The most error-strewn post in Est's history? It's up there.

People are seeing things as they want them to be. It's ****ing shameful some of the **** people on here have said. There's every chance a lot of the people there tonight including some of those who were beaten fiercely by the police wanted absolutely no part in all this. Wait for the facts at least. What's right is right, Scouse, Manc, or otherwise.
I hear exactly where you are coming from RP, but the fact is that they are who they are and that's why the reaction is what it is.

Last night I was anything but balanced but I've tried to not think of it as them.

But I'm still perplexed, who's wrong and who's right aside, why the media is making such a noise about this when it was all but ignored in 1984, 2001 & 2002?

As tends to go with these types of situation, the guilt tends to lie somewhere in the middle. But did you really that a small minority of LFC fans wouldn't try to blame MU fans - I mean "you killed your own fans", "Without Killing anyone..." and "Murderers" is enough for some Reds to say they deserved.

I'm not going to condone or condemn them as they are entitled to the opinion - as you are to yours. Not everyone is as balanced as you
Are you the Judean People's Front?

I see Fergie is being his usually fair-minded self:

"Considering we played with 10 men, mostly against 12 men for an hour, it's a good result for us," he said.

"I don't think we got a decision all night but that's European football."

                              What a ****.

So everytime someone provokes the away fans then it's ok to do what the Scum supporters did?

That happens in most european games and I can't say that the scandal that happened yesterday happens that often.

It's up to UEFA to sort out the mess but until then the away fans will have to get used to what the Scum supporters got yesterday.

It's no secret what happens to the away fans in Europe. If you don't want to be provoked then stay at home until UEFA have sorted out the mess.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
