JOSE: IF WE LOSE THIS ONE I'D RATHER TAKE THE KIDS TO THE WRESTLING THAN WATCH VALENCIA PLAY LIVERPOOL

JOSE MOURINHO was left on the ropes by Valencia last night - but promised Chelsea will not be wrestled out of the Champions League.

Chelsea boss Mourinho has a mountain to climb in next Tuesday's second leg in the Mestalla despite Didier Drogba grabbing a dramatic second-half equaliser for his 30th goal of the season.

But Mourinho is still optimistic about reaching the semi-finals - or he will have to take his children to watch the WWE wrestling instead.

Mourinho said: "If we win the second leg then we will go through to the semi-final.

If we lose then I will go with my children to watch the wrestling on April 24 at Earls Court instead.

"But this result could have been 0-0, 1-1 or 2-1 and there would still have been no reason to panic. We can still go through.

"Next week in Valencia, for the home team in the Mestalla, it will depend on whether they are still enjoying this result but if I were them I would be cautious. The team at home has an advantage and the Valencia players feel comfortable.

"But if we have a good referee who is not influenced by the atmosphere then we can get a result because it's 1-1 and not 0-3." Mourinho admitted last night's game was not a classic but insists the return of Joe Cole as a second-half substitute gives them hope for the second leg.

"If someone deserved to win the game then it should have been Chelsea," said Mourinho. "It was not an amazing game but Chelsea tried to win, Valencia came to draw and the draw was probably correct.

"They were lucky to get their goal even though it was a fantastic shot. But we had chances to win and we will accept this result.

"We need the real Joe Cole to be ready for next week. He is a fantastic boy, it's great to have him back."

Valencia are in control, but anything could happen.

Will Morientes be back for Tuesday night ?

He doesn't actually mention that going to the wrestling is preferable to watching Liverpool - Valencia if Chelsea get knocked out, although why the hell would he want to sit and watch a competition he's not involved in anyway? I find it amusing the way the press in this country take something a person says and grossly extrapolate from it.

        I reckon Chelsea will win.
        On the Ning Nang Nong
        Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
        There's a Nong Nang Ning
        Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
        On the Nong Ning Nang
        All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
        So it's Ning Nang Nong!
        Cows go Bong!
        Nong Nang Ning!
        Trees go Ping!
        Nong Ning Nang!
        The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!
