It's just the post wasn't where you may have expected it - when threads get merged posts get put in chronological order rather than one thread tailing off another.
I searched and searched for it, by eye and technologically. You edited it in just now, didn't you?

We were making much the same point.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I can barely hold on at work much long and I think I'm getting off in half an hour. I need a smoke.

I said at the time of the draw that United will go out and I stick by that. Roma are good enough to score against them tonight - they miss Vidic badly, and there are errors waiting to happen in Ferdinand and Brown. There's no Scholes, no Saha. Van Der Sar is having a nightmare. They scarcely deserved to beat a pitiful Lille side at OT so I can see Roma causing the vermin all kinds of problems on the break. Roma won 0-2 in Lyon to demonstrate what a fine counter-attacking side they can be.

No idea what'll happen between our potential opponents. Sticking my neck out I'll go 1-1 and extra-time.

          Filth 1-2 Roma
Valencia 1-1 Chelsea (Valencia win 4-3 on pens)

          Couldn't agree more mate.

The reason I quoted shaggy is because the guy speaks a lot of sense and I'm crap at putting my thoughts into words.

Roma to beat Scum. (Inside the ground and out)
          Valencia to beat Chavs.
          AC to beat Bayern.
          Us to beat Valencia.
          AC to beat Roma.

I was feeling really confident about these games earlier, now I'm a little apprehensive. Hopefully Roma get ahead in the first half and I can switch over to the Chav match for the second half.

Me, whichever is opposite to R5, so I'll listen to one & watch the other.
I'm watching Scum I v Roma on German DSF, with a live stream to Valencia v Scum II on the PC. The missus has been sent to the the other room. The other room has a bigger telly, but this room has my 50 litre beer fridge!
