Utterly ridiculous this. So he had a 7 game winless streak. As Kevin Pullein of the Racing Post has shown in his articles on football betting every mid table team will go through that streak per season.

Coleman has his best players moved on each year and has never been involved in any serious relegation scrap.

Why on earth has he been sacked. Is there any logic in football anymore?

That's a ridiculous decision by Fulham. I really hope they go down now.

That would be an improvement on Toshack.

I'd suggest that this actually happened some time ago.

Tosh needs have a better end to the qualification campaign or I he'll be going. Coleman would be a good shout to replace him although I can see him back in a decent job very soon.

Coleman's sacking is an absolute joke in the grand scheme of things.

It strikes me that Al-Fayed and the Fulham board are hoping for the usual upturn in results when a new manager comes in. It often happens, and usually the results then plateau after a few games - but Sanchez won't have time for the results to plateau with there being so little of the season remaining.

He's in a no-lose situation. It's the easiest job in the world, really. They're on a poor run of results but shouldn't really go down anyway. If they do go down, it won't be Sanchez's fault but Coleman's, and if he keeps them up he'll be a hero.

Fayed did it before. Sacked Tigana and appointed Coleman with five games to go. It worked then - they won three and stayed up.

Fayed is apparently incredibly dodgy. Incidentally, he gave himself the honorific "Al-" but supposedly he has no right to it. He's allowed to be a bit bonkers though - he's obviously never got over the death of his son. Shame for the Fulham fans that their club is the plaything of a rich man. Still they didn't complain when it was on the up.

I thought he'd lost interest in owning a football club which is why he stopped giving Coleman any money for transfers.

I'm sure Coleman will get another job pretty quickly.
                    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

why didn't fayed properly back coleman like he backed tigana? financially speaking of course

edit: just saw your reasoning neil. you think he lost interest? he should sell the club then

same thing that happend to charlton will happen again, spiral into turd.

shame to drop him mid season though, ive always liked him as a manager

Gutted to hear about his sacking, Fulham might live to regret their decision.

Hope Coleman get's a job back in management soon.

He's pretty dodgy from what I've seen and heard. I used to work in Harrods for a while and he's a bit of a sleazy letch from what I saw. He'd proposition female sales assistants, offering them promotions, pay rises etc to sleep with him, a few of whom took him up on his offer. He would be all over them, it was sexual harrassment basically. Heard a few other things about him as well - dont know if they're true though.
