    PL in sensible suggestion shocker?

    From the BBC:
The Premier League is proposing England play all their games in two three-week spells after Christmas and at the end of the season.

Anyone else think this seems like a pretty sensible solution for all concerned?

Yes it does seem like a good suggestion. Isn't it pretty much what FIFA have been wanting - club seasons from February to May and August to November and international seasons in between?
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I'm never sure what FIFA want. I remember there was talk of them wanting to revamp the international calendar. I can see there might be problems coordinating it on a worldwide basis but it would appear to be a very good solution in the UEFA/european context at least.

The other thing they could do, seeing as the England team is such an embarassment, is withdraw from international footy for a couple of years!

If this is deemed to be a success we could then expand it to include our Rugby and Cricket teams!

I like young women cos there stories are shorter!

I think they should just scrap internationals. Id rather watch my pubes grow.

I think you'll find that most football matches we watch are not infact competetive merely elaborate analogies to pube growing contests which have taken part before hand. This explains why "that" goal was given it was a mere convenience to replicate the flow of the original pube off.

                  Track cycling.

EDIT. Hang on, that was Britain not England.

That'll irritate the hell out of the Celtic contingents.

possibly, but it would require everyone to comply. not sure if everyone would want to.
