Hoddle was absolutely top class with some of the best passing skills i have ever seen, and without doubt one of the best english players ever IMO
He was criminally wasted at international level by managers who didnt use him in the right way and preferred midfielders to be workhorses of the ilk of Bryan Robson. He wasnt a box to box player who would graft for 90 minutes but a cultured footballer with an eye for a pass that would win you the game.
I always wanted him to play for us when i was a kid, if he did he wouldve been a legend for us no doubt about it.
