      Just believe and you never know what will happen.

      According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

        If he goes there he will always be remembered as the player who shafted us 3 times in 4 seasons. 1st season he says he's signing a new contract then ****s off to Madrid right before the close of the transfer window leaving us no tme to find a decent replacement. 2nd season he puts his international career first leads us up the garden path then signs for Newcastle and lastly he could end up at our most bitter rivals.

        Not exactly the kind of player I want at our club. He's had his chance. We've moved on but I must admit to still feeling extremely bitter towards him and always will.

                  If he had told Real Madrid that he refuses to go to Newcastle under any circumstances then maybe he would be at the club of his choice. But as he has no balls, he panicked about not playing enough games to get him fit for the World Cup and jumped at the chance to play for a no mark side like Newcastle.

                  I have ZERO sympathy for Owen. Every major career decision he has made has back fired spectacularly and he only has himself to blame.

                      The problem is that it wasn't a choice to stay in Madrid. It wasn't just the WC, his wife wanted to get back home and Owen is very close to his family.

                      So he had to find a backup club if we couldn't afford him. Staying was a no option.

                      At least if you believe Owen.
                      Just believe and you never know what will happen.

                          Seriously though, f*ck his wife. That's the price you pay for being the wife of a top class footballer. How can one accept the lifestyle that goes with being the wife of a footballer then have the nerve to whinge about living in such a horrible poverty stricken city like Madrid? I don't believe the move had anything to do with his wife and if it did then Owen is an even bigger pussy than I first thought.

                          AF, if Owen had kicked up a fuss at Real and refused to move to Newcastle I am sure eventually he would've been sold back to us or some other club. As we were in the running I assume it would've been us. Some players have balls, others don't. Quite clearly Owen is the latter.

                          Anyway, what's done is done. We've won the Champion's League and FA cup since Owen left and we're about to win the big one again, while Owen plays reserve team footie at Newcastle.
