The best way to look at this is.............if the mancs get to the euro final then chelsea will give them a harder game in the fa cup than blackburn would have

If Mancs get to the CL final, they will have to play FA Cup final first and will get extremly tired (hope the match goes to ET and penalties), while our squad will rest and prepare for the final in peace.

Exactly. This was the perfect result for us.

If we play United in Athens, they'll have played against Chelsea just four days earlier and will consequently have much less preparation time than us.

Ideal scenario now:

European Cup: LFC

That game reminded me just how much I detest Joe Cole. Having been out for most of the season and therefore not cluttering up my telly screen with his comedy 'arms-flung-in-the-air, anguished-howl-emitting-from-ever-open-gob' diving spectaculars, my hatred for the diminutive twazzer had withered to a general feeling of distaste coupled with a grudging sympathy for his obvious learning disabilities.

But the flame of irrational and all-consuming contempt has been reignited with all the inevitability of a pyromaniac on a BP forecourt. No other player comes close to him for consistent theatrics whenever an opposing player gets within 3 feet of him, not Ronaldo, not Deco, not Diouf, no-one. And the strongest condemnation that he ever gets is a mealy-mouthed, "He may just have gone down a bit easily there." Which is a bit like saying that Linda Lovelace went down "a bit easily."

He also manages to rival Terry Christian in the 'kind of face you’d only tire of punching when your arms were worn down to bloody rotting stumps' stakes.

And he smells of poo.
