Torres to snub Premiership move
Fernando Torres is set to snub a move to the Premiership's big four - because he believes Atletico Madrid are heading for the Champions League.
The brilliant young Spain striker, known as 'El Nino', has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital for the past couple of seasons.
Manchester United are long-term admirers of the quicksilver hitman, while Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona and AC Milan are all rumoured to be pursuing him.
But Torres insists he is not thinking about leaving the Vicente Calderon and wants to achieve his ambitions with Atletico, who are currently sixth in La Liga and pushing for a Champions League spot next season.
In an interview with Madrid daily AS, Torres said: "I don't think about leaving. There have been seasons in which things haven't gone well and you can't wait for the close-season to arrive so you can forget everything and hope that it's better when you come back.
"The important thing is to be where you're happy and to win titles there. I'm convinced I'm going to be able to win trophies here.
"I don't think about leaving to win titles or play in Europe. I want to gain titles with Atletico, because it's the team I love."
