I know the fella who wrote that. Andy Nicholls. He's from my town in North Wales, he actually manages the local team now! Some of my mates who still live there play for it.

I didn't know him when he was a hooligan as I was too young but I've met him since and to be fair, since he stopped all the hoolie ****, he's a nice bloke. He was on a TV programme last year as well.

As I said, I don't know him too well. My sister knows him better as she used to work behind the bar at the local pub. The fella who owns it is a massive Blue and good mates with Nicholls. Many a tale was told there after hours!

Andy Frain aka The Reading Nightmare. He was a very well known face at the time but that was years ago. He admitted cutting a copper's throat to McIntyre, even joked about it.

I used to work with a chap who was into the organised stuff and was in the Chelsea Headhunters at first before "progressing" to the BNP and Combat 18.

We all suspected he was into something heavy but it was a shock to see him one night on World in Action as the spokesperson for Combat 18. Strangely enough he then turned informer and fled to the States.

Think I read a bit about his involvement in Heysel in one of his books while waiting for someone in Waterstone's once. Came across as a loon to me though tbh. Seen him on TV a couple of times too, can't remember what in now.

He was in Footballs Biggest Rivalries or some such guff on Bravo where he hammed it up with Danny Dyer and some Manc "guv'nor" while they boasted about which one had the biggest cock...sorry hardest firm.

Yeah I think so. There was a big thing in the paper when he first became manager of our local team saying how he had to get the ban lifted in order to manage the team! I think it even made it into a few of the nationals.

It would appear that this particular organisation has died a welcome death, something about how they hated all immigrants, homosexuals etc but the bloke who was leading it was a having sex with another man. All allegedly of course but pretty ironic really.

Will Browning, I think his name was. Very unhinged bloke from I've heard and read about him. There's a book about them and the guy I knew is in the book on several occasions. Only bought the book to see what he had really been up to - got me some funny looks when I was reading on the beach.

I live the other side of the ground to all the dodgy pubs thankfully, although Earl's Court Road on a Friday/Saturday night gets the odd skinhead now and again. I've heard the Chelsea lot have some links to another far-right firm that follow Reading. Then there was all that **** about them and Spurs fans near Parsons Green earlier this season too, hope it's not on the up but it does seem to be.

if its the lot i think you are talking about (the Reading ones) then i don't think they are far right mate. They are "hooligans" though.

I used to work in a bar in Reading years ago whein i was on holiday as a student and it was where they used to go on a fir/sat night.

Well when they all came in together on xmas eve you could see the bouncers were ****ting it and when trouble started they wouldn't throw them out just tried getting them out one by one.

Anyway, had to close for about half an hour to clear up a bit of blood and glass. :whatever:


But yeah, if its the same people....well i normally saw them talking to a few black guys etc... so i dont think they were too hardcore.
