Our ethos is all about unity, so I dont think it is an issue we will ever face.

It's hard not to have some sympathy with Bale though for all the reasons Mr S. Gun esq. mentions above.

Bale doesn't give a **** about football in general, he's said as much numerous times. I find it hard to emphasise with footballers like that. Each to their own, but they don't realise how lucky they are. He's the perfect fit for Madrid ironically.

I thought they pulled out after an injury to someone else. Bale was set to make a fortune out of it, he's behaved pretty well all things considered

They got an offer for James and asked for one for Bale and that was that. They got nothing for either.

Depends how you look at it. The Chinese club decided they couldn't afford him. Astronomical wage demands or real wanting a fee, or a combination of both? But his agent went on about how the China option was unique because he wanted to go and be a figurehead for the development of football in China. Arrogant prick.
