My heart tells me Milan will go through but I hope United go through instead, they would be easier to beat than Milan I reckon.

I would rather have Milan in the finals anytime. The mancs are a bunch of jammy, flukey *******s. Look at the number of goals they have scored in injury time? I hope Maldini & Gattuso are back for the return leg.

I thought it was a great game and will make for an excellent second leg.

Milan never recovered their balance after the loss of Gattuso, but both sides had big players missing, so you have to say the scum did well to come back and win.

The first goal in the next leg will be key.

That ITV commentator is a joke, he belongs on Sky fanzone so we don't have to listen to him drooling about united.

And as for his comparisons to 99
FA Cup semi-final at Villa Park (well they couldn't exactly play at old trafford could they?)
2 Italian teams in the quarters and semis (different teams of course)

He should have added that the final is again in a European city.

That said Milan do at least have a couple of away goals to their name and the world's finest left back Patrice Evra will be out of the second leg. DJ, maybe Kaka will not produce another performance as good as that, but maybe someone else will produce for Milan. As a team they are more than capable of beating Man Utd at home.

The thing for me is not their ability to score, but will they be able to ontain Man Utd and assert some control over the game. They know conceding the first goal would be brutal for them, so it very much depends what approaches the teams take. I think if Man Utd attack at high tempo as they did tonight Milan will struggle, if Man Utd try to be a bit more patient then they will definitely fancy their chances of winning through.
Agreed, unfortunately the Manc's attack can score at anytime, from anywhere. They can always outscore their opposition. I see them going through in another high scoring game.

They overwhelm teams with their high tempo attacking football reminiscent of our matches against Olympiakos, Juventus etc ... Their only frailty is that they don't know how to play a tactical game. It's either win or bust for them, always has been Fergie's philosophy and probably why he hasn't won that much on the European front.

gilardino was abysmal last night never looked like remotley threatning the goal, i know ronaldo is cup tied but for a club of ac milans stature surley they should have a decent centre forward playing in the champions league instead of that elephant!
