Real Madrid look set to irritate another major European club after it is claimed contact has been made with Werder Bremen midfielder Diego.
Spanish newspaper Marca - who are always pivotal in breaking stories claiming Real are set to sign players - has claimed that initial contact has been made with the Brazilian midfielder and that his response has been "positive."
It goes onto say that the final decision will lie with Werder - which goes without saying as the player has three years left on a contract he only signed at the start of this season.
Diego, 22, started his career at Santos in Brazil and rose to prominence in Europe while playing for Porto. He has 16 caps for the national team.
