Keane has done a cracking job at Sunderland to get them up. They were in all sorts of bother when he took over"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

He doesn't dislike our club as much as most Mancs - he's often been quite complimentary of us in fact.Originally posted by REDSCOUSER View PostI was not saying he did not do a good job, just that hes an ex-manc**** who dislikes our club.Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

To be fair, there WERE still 42 games to play, at that point.Originally posted by Maestro View PostSunderland being promoted is absolutely unbelievable....I'd love to know what odds you would have got on their promotion when they were bottom of the league and hadn't announced their new manager...

According to a Manc supporting mate of mine, Keane is complimentary about us in his book. He talks about his debut for Forest at Anfield and how knowledgeable the Liverpool fans are about the game and appreciate good players.Originally posted by Maestro View PostHe doesn't dislike our club as much as most Mancs - he's often been quite complimentary of us in fact.

My Duaghter had his book, and before disembowelling her I read it, and he was complimentary about us.Originally posted by Slim View PostAccording to a Manc supporting mate of mine, Keane is complimentary about us in his book. Still a manc though, but obviously very good in his first managerial season. Look forward to the day when he's managing the Scum and Carra is managing us. Even the managers would be scrapping. No matter how far back you seem, when you're blessed with class, anything is possible. Chris Bascombe Sep 21 2006

I'm delighted that Sunderland are up. It's fantastic for us 'Oirish'. It (Sunderland) will be like a home away from home for the young Irish rising stars and for quite a full Internationals.
I think they will be challenging for Europe very quickly too. Great fans etc and they belong in the prem . 45,000 fans for their match on friday night. I also really like Niall Quinn.
Happy B'ham are back up along with them. now for Wolves to complete the trio.
