    Andy Fooking Gray

This guy is a **** and im absolutely delighted that Man Utd are out cause i hate them and also because Gray is a **** and a SCUM cheerleader he sounded sickened that they lost....******

Some of Andy's words before the game.

Not only will United get a result in Italy next week, they will beat Milan in their own backyard. I think they've got the Italians running scared - they're not a great team and they know it.

go through the team - the keeper is dodgy and the back four is creaking and should hold no fear for United's forwards. Anything else to be scared of? Pirlo? No. Seedorf? No. Ambrosini? No. Gilardino? Definitely not.

Chelsea will be happy to play in exactly the same way as they did in the second half at Stamford Bridge. They will allow Liverpool plenty of the ball, surrendering possession but ensuring that actual chances are few and far between. Knowing how good they are at that game, you would have to make them favourites to progress.
    O RLY you ****

Milan are ordinary without Kaka...United have them on the ropes

People make a lot of the Anfield crowd and yes, there is something special about that stadium on European nights, but we're talking about Chelsea and superstars of the game here. They're not going to be fazed by that atmosphere.
            O RLY??

Some people say Ronaldo doesn't turn up in the big games. I'd dispute that with anyone

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

A bit long I know but check out below - Andy Gray getting slated today on Football365.com after his recent column dismissing/slagging off Milan

                        Andy Gray: Big In Italy
The banner for his weekly column on your website would have us believe that Andy Gray is 'Britain's Best Pundit'. If he truly is Britain's best, what does that say about the rest of them?

You see, Andy told us that Man Utd would win in Milan easily; that beyond Kaka, Milan were a nothing team. Let's forget that they've been in four semi-finals in the past five years (and now three finals in five). Let's forget that they are the second most successful team in history in the European Cup. Let's forget, in fact, that they were the better team in Manchester for all but the last half hour. He told us that players like Pirlo, Seedorf, and most definitely Gilardino were no threat. I wonder if he might be wanting to revise that opinion this morning??

Far from being the best, Andy Gray is the worst type of jingoistic pundit. He offers no technical analysis of a game (even when he tries to set up his little boards to explain what tactics are employed etc), instead only offering a baseless view that "we are better". He starts from the position that the Premiership is best, everything else is rubbish. That shows not only a lack of respect to a team as historic as Milan, and players who have won World Cups and multiple European trophies, but also a complete ignorance of the game outside the UK borders.

Let's look at the players he dismissed - Pirlo, a Champions League and World Cup winner, and a player regarded, outside Sky Sports' studio anyway, as one of the best midfielders in the world; Seedorf, a man who has won the Champions League with three different teams; and Gilardino, also a World Cup winner and a man who may not be having his best season but who has still scored 73 goals in three-and-a-bit seasons in Serie A. Now, obviously to appreciate that, you would have to watch something other than the Premiership, so maybe Andy should be forgiven for his ignorance.

Time to broaden your horizons, Andy? I know it's against company policy, but you'll find that great football can also be played on the continent as well.
                        Marco Rinaldi

...What was that you said about Milan being ordinary?

Are you looking for a new job yet?

Laughable at best you are, Andy Gray.
                        Italian fan

...LOL, are you ashamed of yourself? You are calling yourself a football expert? You are simply a subjective fan with an access to a web page that publishes the news. Go hide in a cave.
                        Eldad

...The self-proclaimed Britain's best football pundit must be eating his words right now. Man U to beat AC Milan. Yeah right, and Greece will defend its European title next year, and being a Greek Cypriot I kind of support Greece. You see what happens when you get all patriotic and forget to take into account reality. Man U were lucky to scrape a win in the first leg, just because Rooney scored in the last minute everybody forgot that and got excited about how great and mighty Man U is.

The more I read his comments the funnier it gets:

'Sure, Kaka is brilliant but go through the team - the keeper is dodgy and the back four is creaking and should hold no fear for United's forwards. Anything else to be scared of? Pirlo? No. Seedorf? No. Ambrosini? No. Gilardino? Definitely not.'

The dismissal of Gilardino as a definite not good enough must be one of the finest ironies. It's a good thing Man U had nothing to be scared of, imagine if fear was on their mind when they walked out in that inferno of Italian madness. Now we know even the best pundits sometimes do talk nonsense. Stop the hype and let the football do the talking that will be a huge step towards improving a lot of things in English football.
                        Demetris, London

...After the latest Champions League results can we drop the idea that Andy Gray knows football. That Chelsea wouldn't bottle it was wrong but forgiveable. But Gray went on to write off AC Milan as a one-man team, dismissing players like Pirlo and Seedorf as if they weren't fit to lace the boots of world beaters like Fletcher and Carrick. I look forward to his column about the final. How will he manage to sell the Premiership as the best league in the world without paying tribute to the team he so clearly hates? No doubt he'll conclude by saying a Man Utd - Chelsea final is what the public deserved but unfortunately didn't get.

It'll be very interesting to see what his comments are about Milan as the final gets closer.
