That will be a £5.5m fine for the Toon then. That geezer's registered with Portsmouth !!!!Originally posted by AFII View PostI don't agree with that.
Newcastle have had a lot of injuries this season so they shouldn't expect any better place in the league.
Parker, Emre, Owen, Ameobi, Given, Duff, Dyer, Sibierski, Lua Lua, Moore, Ramage, Babayaro, N'Zogbia and Luque have been out a long time this season.

bolton are will struggle with out fat sam, i think it's much more feasible for him to stay at newcastle tbh"I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

So then, what did Owen & Beckham actually win after leaving their respective poor brit clubs behind and moving on to a bigger and more prestigious trophy laden club??

What about the stories that fat Sam went for the job at Newcastle a while back and when he saw Shearer on the interview board he walked straight back out again?
If this was true, why would he go for the job there again, because i can't see anything having changed with regards to Shearer not being involved in the club in any kind of capacity.# Fernando Torres, Liverpool's number 9 #

Given the unrest among Newcastle supporters, Shepherd would only hire someone he thinks would make him fireproof. I can't see how Eriksson would achieve that.Originally posted by Maestro View PostSven Goran Erikkson is the only other serious candidate I can think of....
It's a perfect fit between Fat Sam and Newcastle and would explain why he suddenly left Bolton without, apparently, another job to go to.
Still, I suppose we'll have to see what happens..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I recall that Roeder was reluctant to take the job, he initailly saw himslef as a stopgap as he was enjoying running the youth team (or something similar). I believe he did a good job considering:
1 The Newcastle supporters are a ****ing disgrace to their club, so fickle it beggars belief;
2 The Board is too susceptible to the fans fickleness;
3 Newcastle only seem to spend money on strikers with the rest of their squad being poor;
Roeder inherited ****e in a club that consistently underperforms - what can he do in such a short time?No matter how far back you seem, when you're blessed with class, anything is possible. Chris Bascombe Sep 21 2006

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

He's a decent manager but the reality of the situation is that Newcastle are a club far too big for him. It was inevitable that he would be given the chop, regardless of how they did, as soon as someone like Allardyce became available.

Sevilla coach Ramos rivals Allardyce for Newcastle job
tribalfooball.com - May 07, 2007
Sam Allardyce faces competition to land the vacant job at Newcastle United.
Along with the ex-Bolton Wanderers manager, Sevilla coach Juande Ramos and Blackburn's Mark Hughes are also under consideration by Toon chairman Freddy Shepherd, says the Mirror.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
