I think at this stage it is obvious that the question should have been:

Can you think of a winger who has been as good or better than Figo in the last few years who is also called Figo?

I understood that, it just appears that no-one else did.

          Richie Partridge?*

Not a patch on Johnny Barnes or Stevie Heighway, overated **** never played in a league where you are allowed to tackle.

I disagree, he also played in a League that played football not long ball and warfare.

My original opinion stands, he's best wide players in my life time.

Great player but i would have liked to see him in the English league, less protection from refs over here.

I think Barnes was a better winger too. As an all round player it'd be a closer call but the way Barnes hugges the touchline and pinged in pin point crosses was phenomenal.

Barnes for me too, magical footballer who could carve a goal outta nothing.

When Figo was in his prime, Barnes was in his 40s, both in age and stone. I think Figo might well have been better.

In his prime, Figo was probably the best player in the world, although you could argue for Zidane pretty convincingly and possibly Ronaldo as well (the real one).
