Why is he out of favour in France after winning the league? Don't get me wrong, I know he's a very average manager but I thought he was doing well at Lyon?

As for GH moving to Newcastle, the Geordies will absolutely hate him.

Surely it's too late for Ged? Allardyce's arrival has virtually been signed and sealed, no?

I'm not sure they'd dig his brand of football, but it is an absolute gimme that he'd sort them out defensively - something that's needed sorting up there for over 10 years. He'd do a good job there, I reckon.

Anyone know the odds? I thought that Fat Sam was 16-1 on to become manager a couple of days ago? What's changed?

he took over a team that was miles better than the rest of in france, he won the league but fans are not happy about him, failure in europe and domestic cups. has landed him in bas territory with the fans. he is also being slated for not playing good enough football, not as good as before...

He would definitely stabilise the club followed by driving the fans away...

im surprised that ged and fat sam are linked with them both very defensive or long ball coaches. maybe fat sam will change his approach as he would have more spending power than he did at bolton! though they both would definitley tighten them up at the back!

In fairness he has had to deal with losing Diarra and Essien who were both key players. If they are moaning about Houllier they're idiots, he's done pretty well for them.

i know, but it has also allot to do with the players he brought in to replace them. and his style of play...

lyon are cruising however scored the most goals, conceded fewer than the rest. but still he's not all that popular in france at the moment. don't know why...

But what did he do with the millions he got for Essien and Diarra? I don't know how much Diarra was sold for but Essien went for 25 million didn't he? Did GH do his usual trick and piss it up the wall??
