    Owen pledges his future to Newcastle

    Michael Owen today ended all transfer speculation surrounding his future by pledging to remain at Newcastle for the rest of his life.

    He was quoted as saying:
    "Until I help Newcastle win a major trophy I won't be going anywhere, so as far as I'm concerned I'll be here for the foreseeable future."
