Maybe same will apply to Warnock.
    Ok ...... naaaah

I have to say I was so so happy that this **** of a man was relegated yesterday. When you compare him to Curbs, Pardew or Paul Jewel its easy to see why so many many people in football are happy his spell in the limelight was brief.

A classless **** of a man, a two faced arsey git whos team play to end players careers and he seems to be on one big wind up mission.

My favorite – A tactical savant

Tosser – Bet he has pissed just about everybody off in football at one time or another. Zero class.

It's nonsense quite frankly. Demento and Rafa are only responsible for their own teams. They don't care about the relegation fight and why should they? What if we went to Fulham and had 10 players missing for one reason or another (suspension and injuries), instead of choosing not to use players who were fit - which is what happened - would it still be unfair then?

Fact is if Sheffield United had beaten a poor Wigan side at home they would've stayed up. That failure has nothing to do with any other club than themselves.
        Very well said!

Could not agree more. All these issues over developing young/local players and how difficult it is. I can't believe that Rafa bothered explaining that his team was strong at Fulham, he didn't need to comment and if he wanted to play our reserves side at the end of the season then so be it. Warnock's abilities as a manager are the reason his club went down and if he wants to talk about Karma, it's a bitch aint it!

He could be a ****, but West Ham should have been relegated, not Sheffield United. See the Whelan thread.

              Jewell angry with Premier League
Wigan boss Paul Jewell (right) is congratulated by chairman Dave Whelan
Jewell (right) maintained the belief his Wigan side could stay up
Wigan boss Paul Jewell reaffirmed his anger at the Premier League's timing of the hearing into West Ham's signing of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.

West Ham escaped a points deduction but were fined £5.5m on 27 April - a day before they played Wigan.

Wigan clinched top-flight safety by winning at Sheffield United, while West Ham beat Manchester United to survive.

"The ideal scenario for the Premier League might have been for Manchester United to beat West Ham," said Jewell.

              Interview: Wigan boss Paul Jewell

People's persona of Wigan is that it's probably the least attractive club in the Premiership so we deserve great credit for being there for a third successive season

              Wigan manager Paul Jewell

Jewell added: "Some people think West Ham have got off the hook a little bit.

"But I don't want to go down that route. The reason we had to go into the final game to stay up was that we weren't good enough over the 37 games before."

Sheffield United were relegated through goal difference after their 2-1 defeat by Wigan at Bramall Lane.

Jewell stated: "I have been in football for a long time and I know when people have some doubts in their mind you have got to play on them.

I love the way West Ham play, but they got off lightly

"Sheffield United didn't have to win to stay up but we had nothing else in our minds but to win the game.

"I said to the players, they will be edgy because it's all in their hands.

"I feel like I've just run a marathon. It's a great achievement for a club of our size and we have had to overcome a lot of obstacles.

Sheffield United needed to avoid defeat at home to stay up, they never managed it, they can blame whoever they want, but their fate was in their own hands.

Of the 3 teams with a chance of going down that day, Sheffield United were in the best position not to and they ****ed up.

Yes. They were unlucky though as well. They hit the post, hit the bar, and should have had a penalty (which would also have resulted in McCulloch being sent off sooner).

I think it would be hard to be entirely philosophical after that whatever the situation going into the game.
