Ex-Seigneur buys Wolves for a tenner

            By Harry McRandle

THE former Seigneur of Trinity, Steve Morgan, has struck a deal to buy Wolverhampton Wanderers FC - for just £10.

Three years ago Mr Morgan unsuccessfully tried to buy Liverpool FC, but yesterday it was announced that chairman Sir Jack Hayward had agreed to sell Wolves to him.

The sale of the club is expected to go through next month.

The club said that Sir Jack agreed to sell all his shares in the Championship club for £10 on condition that Mr Morgan invests £30 million in Wolves.

Manager Mick McCarthy has been assured that his job is safe while current chief executive Jez Moxey will also stay in post.

I dont see what is wrong with buying another football club if he wasnt successfull with his takeover of LFC, fact remains that he didnt have the resources for LFC, but Wolves is another matter, maybe he just has an ambition to but a football team and make them greater than what they are?. I dont see what is wrong with that. I still think he is an LFC fan aswell
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                  * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
