He deserves it no doubt about it but I'm not sure if this is actually for commercial reasons from pressure from behind the scenes. Brazil opening game? No Beckham less glamour. Beckham more exposure?

Makes points such as the fact that in Real's last 10 games Beckham has only played in 3 of them and gives an example of how the media is overhyping him to get him back into the team. It seems to have sadly worked - England going even further backwards.

Not sure Pennant deserves to be in there but agreed about the likes of Dyer.

I must say I think Beckham deserves to be in and should never have been dropped. Granted his performances for England had been **** for a long time but the dross that replaced him in the squad didn't make England any better. He should at least be on the bench.

Not that I give a ****. I hope England **** up against Estonia and McClaren is sacked.

My point isn't that Pennant should get in before Beckham but he deserves his place more than guys like Jenas and Dyer.

As for hoping England lose and struggle to qualify... That's the stuff dreams are made of. How funny would it be?!

The mysterious shenanigans surrounding Shevchenko and his "injury" are very odd - there's obviously some kind of power-struggle going on between Jose and Roman and I think the Portuguese bitch will be forced out. They won't sack him, as such...I reckon his position will become untenable. Or rather, has become untenable.
