The mysterious shenanigans surrounding Shevchenko and his "injury" are very odd - there's obviously some kind of power-struggle going on between Jose and Roman and I think the Portuguese bitch will be forced out. They won't sack him, as such...I reckon his position will become untenable. Or rather, has become untenable.
Guus Hiddink could be tempted then

...but do you think that if Roman sacked Jose who has the backing of the fans would be seriously shooting himself in the foot. Jose had had trophties in every season and the players love him and have a bound with him.

So Roamn could risk alot by getting rid of him.

Having said that fans are fickle and if another manager came in and started winning they wouldnt really care.

Doesn't it just. He only dropped him in the first place in a desperate and misguided bid to make himself look 'ruthless'.

Capello had to eat humble pie to and look what Beckham has done since he has got back in the side.

I think the fact he has survived the end of the season indicates he will be given until January to make things work. I think the interesting thing is wether Sheva stays this summer - the noises coming out from his wife suggests that he would happily head back to Italy.

I think it is a massive mistake bringing Beckham back.

McClaren did the right thing dropping him because he hasn't done anything for England since Greece six years ago. Bringing him back smacks of desperation. When you consider that the only important game is Estonia, a team that we should beat easily, it makes you question the need to bring him back.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Rafa would do a good job for England.

By this logic noone who has played for the England team (with the possible exceptions of Hargreaves) would be in the England squad.

Players should be picked on ability and form. Beckham is better than the people who have been selected above him in the past few squads. He is a valuable option with Lennon out. I really don't see why people have a problem getting him back.
