    Own your own Footie Club

Not sure if this has been posted

I have just registered and thought i would pass it on... if we get enough reds involved then we can help Rafa find a team to blood the youngsters in

35 quid a year to own your own footie club is a good deal in my opinion, better value than KT anyway

    - Pluss they are not asking for the money untill they get 50,000 registered users

50 thousand members paying 35 quid makes 1.75 million.

How do they expect to buy a football club with that?

They are looking for a lower league ( Confrence) Club to buy and then seek to take them into the Premiership - eventually....
the second part might be un realistic but teh concept is valid.

Check out the Site for more info:

      Buying the football club

      1. As soon MyFootballClub has received membership fees from 50,000, the process of identifying the best club to purchase on behalf of its members will begin.

      2. Due diligence will begin with the club with most votes, and so on until the most suitable and feasible club is identified.

      3. MyFootballClub will use the money raised by membership fees to purchase this football club. All shares purchased will be given to the club's Industrial and Provident Society. MyFootballClub members own this Industrial and Provident Society, and therefore own an equal share and have an equal say in the running of the football club.

      Criteria for choosing the club

      * 51% or more of the football club shares can be bought with the Purchase Fund.

      * There is none, or a manageable debt.

      * The club has the potential to reach the Premiership.

It's a cute idea for a conference club, but according to the BBC they promise their members a say in team selection, and that is CRAZY.
